Spoof Photographer Alison Jackson Imagines Prince George's First Christmas

Great-granny looks on as Prince George opens his gift from her, grabbing a cuddly toy Corgi

Dressed in a reindeer costume, Prince George enjoys his first Christmas, enclosed by all four generations of the Royal Family.

As well as delighted parents William and Kate, there’s Uncle Harry in the role of Santa Claus.

And the Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall also make an appearance.

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking you are privy to an advance sneak peek into the Royal family’s Christmas album.

But not is all as it seems. For this Sandringham scene has been created by spoof photographer Alison Jackson, using lookalikes.

Santa's little helper, Prince George peers around the door with his parents and great-grandmother the Queen, as joker Prince Harry dressed as Father Christmas delivers gifts for his nephew

Dressed in a reindeer outfit, Prince George chews on a new pair of trainers, a Christmas present for the future King, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge look on

Tiny Prince George squeals with delight as his father Prince William hands his son yet another present, as grandparents Prince Charles and Camilla join the festivities toasting three generations of Kings

Prince George will celebrate his first Christmas at Sandringham with the Royal family as well as his grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton

Mandela's Death Announced As Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Watch the Autobiography Of Mandela - "Long Walk To Freedom"

Royals, celebrities and members of Nelson Mandela's family attended the UK premiere of the biographical film of his life - oblivious to the fact the man it was about had died only hours earlier.

Mandela's death was announced in South Africa as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge sat down to watch the screening of Long Walk To Freedom, the movie based on his autobiography.

One of Mandela's daughters, Zindzi Mandela, was also present in the audience, while another, Zenani, had just left having seen the movie before. William and Kate were informed of his death subtly by an aide shortly before the end of the film.

The news, which was revealed on television in an address to the nation by South Africa's current president, Jacob Zuma, was then passed on to stunned guests after the credits had rolled. A two minutes' silence was then held in the West End cinema. Speaking from the Odeon Leicester Square, Prince William said: 'I just wanted to say it's very sad and tragic news. 'We were just reminded what an extraordinary and inspiring man Nelson Mandela was. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. It's very sad.'

The Royal couple looked ashen-faced as they walked down the stairs into the foyer. Shortly after they left, shocked members of the audience began emerging from the cinema, in silence at first. It was not clear what had happened to Mandela's daughter, Zindzi. She had seemed jovial and relaxed walking the red carpet outside in Leicester Square before the premiere started but inside, as William and Kate met dignitaries, she seemed to be overcome.

Kate Middleton and William Break With Tradition on Godparents

Prince William and Kate reportedly have broken with royal tradition by choosing childhood and university friends to be the godparents of their son, Prince George.

The baptism of Prince George of Cambridge, who was born on July 22 in London, will take place on October 23 in the Royal Chapel of St James Palace, although the royal family still has not formally announced the names of the godparents.

Prince William and Kate have selected Fergus Boyd, a friend of the prince from the University of St Andrews in Scotland, as one of Prince George's godparents along with two childhood pals, Kate's friend Emilia d'Erlanger and William's friend Hugh van Cutsem.

Apparently, the decision was made because the royal couple believes their friends will provide more stability and a sense of normality to Prince George, who is third in line for British throne after Prince Charles and William.

The choice flies in the face of royal tradition, since princes have always had other princes or kings as their godparents. In the case of William, former King Constantine of Greece, is his godfather.

William also broke with royal tradition by choosing the chapel at St James Palace - and not Buckingham Palace - as the site of his son's baptism.

British media just confirmed that the baptism will be an intimate one for only closest relatives, including the Queen, Prince Philip, as well as Kate's parents and siblings and Prince Harry.
